Remontándonos
a nuestros orígenes, al abrir los ojos, todo lo visible era natural, un cielo,
un árbol, una pradera, unas flores… pero no todo era belleza, las imágenes
del ser de las cavernas también eran
cosas terroríficas; un relámpago, los
ojos de un felino, la sangre vertida, la avalancha y también una planta
venenosa…, un eclipse, la estrella fugaz… y lo más doloroso… el odio de otros
ojos. No obstante todo, todo, servía para aprendizaje, era útil y necesario
para vivir y sobrevivir…
Y
comenzamos a evolucionar.
La
comunicación, ese elemento importante en que se basa la vida, el crecimiento de
cada una de nuestras células, órganos y
sistemas internos… la comunicación hormonal, sus tiempos y urgencias. Una vez
concebidos desarrollamos un órgano especial que interesa a quienes viven los
caminos del arte, la vista, la visión, la principal conexión con lo externo,
eso que está más allá y nos provee de
mucha información y… Saltamos en el tiempo y la comunicación necesaria, útil de
cada hombre, su experiencia, se hizo
necesario informar a otros
congéneres y así surgen sonidos e imágenes, una red externa que nos ha
permitido “evolucionar” y otras veces, “involucionar”.
Hoy,
la naturaleza, el paisaje, las necesidades, reales e imaginarias están
impregnados de imágenes creadas que en si pueden ser, o no, un hecho artístico. Ellas nos desmenuzan el
interior para instalarnos mensajes visuales que saturan el espíritu.
Hoy
estamos acosados por esas imágenes que ocupan todos los espacios posibles.
Realmente,
como dice la artista, son “imágenes basura”, imágenes utilitarias,
desechables…. Se van sumando.
Tras
un primer instante al comprender la magnitud del problema, Aljona Shapovalova
se arma de toda herramienta necesaria y manos a la obra… decide usar como
técnica base el collage. Y, con paciencia y constancia, quizás como un juego pero, como dije de ella en 2012
“Esta artista impresiona por su alta capacidad
para expresar en abstracto todo aquello que contrae su espíritu...”
Y crea una nueva serie.
La
expresión “Glossy Happyness” – FELICIDAD LUSTROSA o que también podría traducir
como “El brillo de la felicidad” nos remite a una felicidad permanente, una
felicidad irreal a la cual la publicidad pretende darle supremacía y mediante
la imagen reiterada, engañosa, llena los espacios visuales, reales y virtuales nublando
lo que es válido y necesario.
De
este impresionante “mar de basura visual” Aljona Shapovalova comienza una tarea
titánica, reciclar, rescatar y transformar en arte los elementos sustraídos, compaginar mediante
collage y otras técnicas obras con sentido artístico. En este camino se vale de
paralelismos y convergencia de grafismos, ideas, emociones.
Su
tarea es paciente, medulosa, y con espíritu.
Ver
estas obras, la serie y su evolución, es también, una hermosa y alucinante
aventura.
Y
digo yo. ¿Será posible contagiar,
desarrollar una barrera a la generación de desechos visuales, como una barrera
coralina en que infinidad de seres, desde el arte, rompan el esquema actual de
imágenes que opacan el cielo y casi no
reconocemos nuestra propia “Via Láctea”?

Looking
back to our origins, when we opened our eyes, everything visible was natural, a
sky, a tree, a meadow, some flowers ... but not everything was beauty, the
images of the being of the caverns were also terrifying things; a flash, the
eyes of a feline, the blood shed, the avalanche and also a poisonous plant ...,
an eclipse, the shooting star ... and the most painful ... the hatred of other
eyes. Nevertheless, everything, was for learning, was useful and necessary to
live and survive ...
And
we begin to evolve.
Communication,
that important element on which life is based, the growth of each of our cells,
organs and internal systems ... hormonal communication, its times and
urgencies. Once conceived we develop a special organ that interests those who
live the paths of art, sight, vision, the main connection with the external,
that which is beyond and provides us with a lot of information and ... We jump
in time and communication necessary, useful of each man, his experience, it
became necessary to inform other congeners and thus arise sounds and images, an
external network that has allowed us to "evolve" and other times,
"involucionar".
Today,
nature, landscape, needs, real and imaginary are impregnated with created
images that in themselves may or may not be an artistic fact. They shred us
inside to install visual messages that saturate the spirit.
Today
we are beset by those images that occupy all possible spaces.
Actually,
as the artist says, they are "junk images", utilitarian, disposable
images ... They add up.
After
a first moment to understand the magnitude of the problem, Aljona Shapovalova
is armed with all necessary tools and hands-on work ... decides to use collage
as a base technique. And, with patience and perseverance, maybe as a game but,
as I said of her in 2012
"This
artist impresses with her high ability to express in the abstract all that her
spirit contracts ..."
And
create a new series.
The
expression "Glossy Happyness" - HAPPINESS LUSTROSA or that could also
translate as "The brightness of happiness" refers us to a permanent
happiness, an unreal happiness to which the publicity pretends to give it
supremacy and through the reiterated, deceitful image, it fills the visual,
real and virtual spaces clouding what is valid and necessary.
From
this impressive "sea of visual garbage" Aljona Shapovalova begins a
titanic task, recycling, rescuing and transforming the subtracted elements into
art, combining collages and other techniques with works of artistic meaning. In
this way it uses parallels and convergence of graphics, ideas, emotions.
Your
task is patient, medullous, and spirit.
Seeing
these works, the series and its evolution, is also a beautiful and amazing
adventure.
And
I say. Is it possible to infect, develop a barrier to the generation of visual
debris, as a coral barrier in which countless beings, from art, break the
current scheme of images that obscure the sky and almost do not recognize our
own "Milky Way"?
