Ser
expresionista es una forma de ser y de
ver el mundo, es una marca personal, individual. No es una elección, es un
predestino a observar y criticar personas y hechos que afectan la sensibilidad del
sujeto que llamamos artista. En su introspección desmenuza cada ser o actitud
de personas, personajes o sociales y no puede hacer otra cosa que expresar su
disconformidad, lo supera, es más fuerte que su posible voluntad de callar, de
silencio. Ya dijimos que el expresionismo es un hecho universal y permanente,
sin que se vaya a extinguir.
Moho Drissi es
principalmente expresionista pero abreva en todas las corrientes ”oficiales” de las artes visuales y de hecho
hace su aporte personal y queda grabada en cada una de sus obras.
Como se
podrá apreciar visitando sus galerías, en vivo, o virtualmente como hago yo, el
predominio de retratos con su carga de dramatismo, verdades ocultas, misterio,
pero ese misterio no lo es tanto, él sabe
que la sociedad de origen del personaje lee perfectamente su mensaje, en
definitiva en sus obras nada queda oculto. Para completar su “Expresividad” no duda en utilizar
eso llamado expresionismo abstracto, o bien utilizar rasgos cubistas u otros “ismos” clasificatorios.
Muchas de
sus obras son de un personaje determinado pero en los rasgos generales hay una
especie de autorretrato, o sea que en cierta forma se identifica con el hecho
criticado y se transforma así en una especie de autocrítica. La velocidad de
ejecución de cara trazo o pincelada tratan de correr a la par de su
pensamiento, pensamiento donde también caben la dulzura, el amor, la sensualidad, cierto grado de
esperanza y quizás algo de fe en el
género humano.
A todo esto
Moho, desde sus propias fotografías, aporta una enorme sonrisa que delata su
impotencia para hallar, sembrar raciocinio
a esta humanidad que se juega el pellejo de ser extinguida por sí misma.
Moho Drissi
es un artista contemporáneo que bucea en
forma permanente en las profundidades de cada hombre.

Being an expressionist is a way of being and seeing the world, it is a personal, individual brand. It is not a choice, it is a predestination to observe and criticize people and events that affect the sensitivity of the subject we call an artist. In his introspection he shreds every being or attitude of people, characters or socials and can not do anything but express his disagreement, he overcomes it, it is stronger than his possible will to be silent, of silence. We already said that expressionism is a universal and permanent fact, without it going to be extinguished.
Moho Drissi is mainly Expressionist but he wakes up in all the "official" currents of the visual arts and in fact makes his personal contribution and is recorded in each of his works.
As you can appreciate visiting his galleries, live, or virtually as I do, the predominance of portraits with its load of drama, hidden truths, mystery, but that mystery is not so much, he knows that the society of origin of the character reads perfectly his message, in short in his works nothing is hidden. To complete his "Expressiveness" he does not hesitate to use that called abstract expressionism, or to use cubist traits or other "isms" classificatory.
Many of his works are of a certain character but in the general features there is a kind of self-portrait, that is to say in a certain way he identifies with the criticized fact and thus becomes a kind of self-criticism. The speed of execution of face stroke or brushstroke try to run at the same time as your thoughts, thoughts where sweetness, love, sensuality, a certain degree of hope and perhaps some faith in the human race also fit.
To all this, Moho, from his own photographs, brings a huge smile that betrays his impotence to find, to sow reason to this humanity that plays the hide of being extinguished by itself.
Moho Drissi is a contemporary artist who dives permanently into the depths of every man.
